And now commences the start of my blog! I've been meaning to start this blog since I got to the ship, but didn't have an opportunity until now. There are many things to talk about and I'd like to highlight as much of the crew life aboard a cruise ship as I can. I'm not sure how regularly I'll be able to post, as we are constantly moving and the internet aboard the ship is both fantastically slow and exorbitantly pricey. The magic words lately seem to be "Free Wifi" because you find crew members in port anywhere that phrase is advertised. It definitely has its perks; I'm sitting in a cafe in Chania, Crete, sitting next to the Mediterranean Sea and enjoying fresh apple juice.
I'm hoping to post pictures whenever possible, but that may depend on getting wifi in the ports. I'd like to give the blog a cool name too, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. Maybe I'll post my ideas and any suggestions and see what the favorites are.
We were originally supposed to dock at Athens today, but due to protests from the taxi drivers, as well as general civic unrest, we docked in Crete. With little time left to explore, I will leave it at this for the day.
